2 LOOKS 1 MAKEUP

Another Lazy day made me experiment on my face again. i wanted to use Christmas colors like yellow green and red. unfortunately i didn't use my red shadow. haha. below you'll see that i made 2 looks but using the same eye make up. haha the first look is the bollywood look HAHA. 2nd ones for Christmas. :)

So here ill share the make up that i used for my eyes :)

before putting any shadows I always put an eyeshadow primer. shadow primers will make your shadows appear more vivid with less fading and creasing plus it stays on for hours. so below is the Urban Decay Potion Primer. well for me this is the best primer. lol

Now I first used the NYX yellow funk for the inner corner of my eye.

the next thing is i used a lime green shade from the NYX make up artist palette collection and blend it with the yellow. then used the darkest green to shade the crease area. :)

Sorry for the update! i know some are requesting me to post a blog for starters. yes i will update soon! :)

OUR CREATION OF HOME MADE LIP BALM

INGREDIENTS:

1. Petroleum Jelly
2. Honey
3. Corn starch
4. mineral make up
5. Peppermint oil ( to add the minty flavor)
6. Lip balm container ( Make sure it is sterilized)

Hmm. Can't wait for our lip balm to set! First step, take a spoonful of petroleum jelly.

Next, mix it with 1 teaspoon of honey.

Mix it well until the color turns solid.
Then make your way in putting the secret ingredient that will give your lip balm a thick texture, corn starch! put as many as you want, depending on the outcome you wanted to have.

To add the coloring, you may use fruit coloring ; but we prefer to use mineral eyeshadows.

For our lip bal, we chose the colors brown and magenta.

Place it in the container, then freeze it for a while to add moisture to the ingredient.

Mon , Myka and Mon's super epal thumb!

Feedback: The lip balm tasted sweet with a little cooling effect due to the peppermint oil. Our lips felt really soft even after an hour , personally, the home made lip balm is even better compared to some commercial lip balms. Some of the lip balms you might have at home might be harmful to your lips, these are:

  • Menthol, camphor, and phenol: All three of these ingredients give your lips a deceptive soothing, cooling sensation — but they also dry them out, creating a vicious cycle where you apply your lip balm to get relief . . . from your lip balm.
  • Silicone oil: This additive is put in balms, glosses, and lipsticks to make them last longer and keep pigment from rubbing off your lips. It also, however, locks out moisture.
  • Fragrance: Some fragrance groups, especially when combined with ingredients like alcohol, can suck the moisture right off your lips.
  • Salicylic acid: This is a great acne-fighting ingredient, and it definitely exfoliates well, but in lip glosses and balms it can dry your lips and make them peel — not a pretty combo.
