The Blue Monster

I was trying to clean my make up station at home and figured out that I haven't even use most of my palettes so I tired them on and made this weird look which I will call The Blue Monster. its a combination of my Urban Decay book of shadows 3 and my coastal scent palette. I made use of colors like blue, sea green, blue green, and etc and mix them all up together then added a little black liner on top of my lids and also used my blue lipstick from sephora.

Here's the palettes, the ones with YELLOW flower stamps are the ones I used for this look.

My Little Box of Happiness

This is my Hello Kitty make up kit where I put my daily make up needs here. I got this container when I was strolling around a super market in Tokyo, its originally a box full of seaweeds inside but instead of just throwing away the container I thought of putting my make ups inside and luckily it fits.  I love how convenient this kit is, once I open it I have almost everything I need for touch ups, where unlike before my make ups were so unorganized inside my bag and I tend to lose and misplace them all the time.

Here is a closer look of the container. its about an inch and a half thick so some make ups like thick compact powder would not really fit on it.

So here's whats inside my Hello Kitty Kit.

1- Shu Uemura black eyeliner pencil
2- Shu Uemura eyeshadow brush
3- Shu Uemura  liquid Concealer 7R medium light
4- Shu Uemura cream concealer
5- Mac LustreGlass lipgloss
6- Mac Long wear lipstick in overtime
7- Majolica Majorca Trick on Eyeshadow palette in GR750
8- Nars Blush in Orgasm
9- Small Dior Brush (for my blush)

I think I have almost all the things essential for touch ups except my compact powder because it wouldn't fit it so I just bring it along with this kit.

Naked Day and Night!

 URBAN DECAY NAKED PALETTE!

I first laid my eyes on this palette last summer when I was strolling around Sephora Singapore. The moment I saw it I knew I had to have it.   This palette has 12 amazing colors, from light to dark and shimmer to matte. It allows you to create endless shadow combination and looks that would suit your everyday lifestyle.  I love how you can create soft, everyday looks and also heavier, smokey looks which last all day long.

Now ill use the Ligher shades to create my own version of a Day Look.
 1- Virgin
 2 - sidecar
 3 - Buck

1 - I put on the shadow on the inner rim of my eye, to make the eye look refresh.
2 - used the next darker shade to the crease blending it to the inner corner of the eyes.
3- the darkest shade is to further darken the outer crease which makes the eyes look wider.

For the Evening look

1- I only used creep to be placed on top of the day look make up just to darken the outer corner of the eyes and make it look smokey.

Here are some pictures when I did a shoot for props tools and cosmetics where I got the chance to see all their amazing products. I was in awe to see all the colorful palettes they sell. I find it similar to Coastal Scents but it is more affordable and you can easily order it online. whats nice about the palettes is that their colors are very vivid, just a small amount of goes a long way and its long lasting too! the best part is that its BFAD approved which means its free from harsh chemicals like mercury and led.

Here a sample of the the Palettes Props Ceo gave me. It consist of 120 colorful eyeshadows! I love it! This was also the palette I used to do the look above.

Luxury Mascara vs, Drug store Mascara

Mascara is one of the most common items found in every girls kit. It makes lashes look fuller, longer and darker. Mascara coats the lashes with the pigment and other ingredients to make the lashes stand out. Different formulas and different brush types can give different results. for example, lengthening mascaras may coat the lashes with polymers to create a smoother, longer look from root to tip while thickening formulas may include plumping agents to make each lash look fuller.

Today ill be sharing my favorite Luxury Mascara Brands and Drug store Mascara Brands.

LUXURY BRANDS

1. DIOR SHOW BLACKOUT - Definitely one of the best mascaras you could ever find in the market. It lengthens, defines, volumes, curls and separates at the same time. This was my favorite mascara before but I noticed starts clumping towards the end of my lashes.

*can I just say... im totally in love with LANCOME mascaras!

2. LANCOME Oscillation Vibrating Infinite Mascara - This vibrating mascara does everything it promises. It gives your lashes incredible length and thickens them, making your eyelashes look gorgeous all the way. the only problem is the price tag! (compared to the other Lancome variants this is the most expensive).

3. LANCOME Amplicils Panoramic Volume Mascara - As its name says it adds volume to lashes, has great coverage and colors your lashes without clumping even when applying several coats.

4. LANCOME Hypnose - Of all the Lancome mascaras I own, it is my HG (Holy grail) Mascara! its my ultimate favorite. Hypnose made my thin lashes really long and thick. In this mascara I got the thickest lashes I could ever dream of.

5. LANCOME Vitrouse - With its revolutionary curve brush helps curl lashes for up to 12 hours and it doesnt smudge. Gives lashes extra volume, length and curl.

DRUG STORE MASCARAS

6. MAYBELLINE Express Volume Mascara - I love Maybelline Mascaras, not just it cost way less than luxury brands but performs just as well as them. I personally like this variant because it game my lashes a really thick appearance with its black coal pigments made my eyes really pop.

7. MAYBELLINE Great Big Lash - This one is one of the most popular drugstore mascaras that girls all over US has been raving about. It really did make lashes "big" because it gave volume and absolute coverage to lashes. the only down side is its not really waterproof so it may smudge a bit.

8. LOREAL Double Extension mascara - My first ever mascara was this brand, using this will really make you look like you are wearing fake lashes. because it will double the size of your lashes and provides an intense black coat.

9. COVERGIRL Lash blast - love love love this brand. I love how the wand reaches every portion of my lashes while giving it volume and length.

Mascara prices can range from $8- $40 or 300php - 2000php, but it doesn't  mean that the one that cost less might perform poorly and the one that cost so much performs better. it depends on the brand and variant of your choice. The products above might have worked for me but it doesn't mean it would also work well on you. it really depends on what type of lash you have and what mascara best fits your lash hairs. :)

barely there make up with BareMinerals

Ive been a fan of BareMinerals for almost 3 years. the moment I purchased the product I was amazed how it felt so light on my face. it gives me the coverage i want and the flawless finish im looking for.
Ive encountered some people who doesn't really know how to apply Mineral make up. they claim that mineral powder is hard to put on and fades in a few hours. i believe that with the proper steps mineral make up can do wonders to ones face and will definitely give a nice sheer glow. Here are some steps on how I use my BareMinerals Starter Kit.

This set i got from sephora includes 3 brushes, 2 foundation, 1 multi tasking concealer and 1 blush in warmth.

it also comes in this free prime time foundation primer.

Step 1 : I first used the Prime Time foundation primer to prepare my skin for foundation application. this also helps prolong the staying power of the make up.

Step 2 : Open the Bare Minerals concealer and put a little of it into the upturned lid. Then, dip both sides of your brush into the foundation in the lid. apply concealer under the eyes and on red spots of the face.

Step 3 : Dip the Brush into the foundation that you placed in the lid to remove any excess foundation from the brush, tap the brush on the rim of the lid. Then, apply the foundation evenly to all facial areas.

Step 4: then use the warmth blush and apply it on the apples of the cheeks and a little bit on the nose to give the face a sun kissed glow.

Step 5 : Lastly apply the mineral veil to set the make up.

TADAAAA! the finish product.

SUMMER SUNSET

Summer is about to end so ive decide to make a look which uses colors from the sunset which are yellow, orange, red, and purple :)

So here's the palette I used to make this look:

For the eyes

*First I used the yellow colored eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eyes, spreading them until the middle part of my eyes.

*Next i used the orange colored shadow which I placed on the middle portion of my eyes. i always blend blend blend the colors to make it look better.

*I used a pink-red color of shadow on the crease of my eyes blending them until the end of my eyes. remember to not use too much red it makes the eyes look weird or looks bleeding.

*Then I used a puple colored shadow on the outer most corner of my eye and blend it inwards. remember the secret to great eyeshadows is by blending all colors properly.

*lastly i used the purple shadow to line my lower lash line making it look like a purple eyeliner to emphasize the look.

so here it is....

It is described as a “light warm beige.” It’s a peach-tinged pale beige-nude with an amplified finish. The amplified finish gives is a creamier consistency, more color pigmentation, and a semi-matte finish. Its a great nude lipstick for everyday wear and is great for any occassion. :)
